CONGRATULATIONS ON ANOTHER TOP TEN ACHIEVEMENT BY MICAH GUSTER.  MICAH GUSTER RECENTLY BECAME OF MEMBER OF THE BROCK-COOPER AMERICAN INN OF COURT.  Chattanooga and the surrounding area has more than 1,500 lawyers, yet only 141 members make up the Brock-Cooper American Inn of Court. Benjamin Brewer's criminal trial is set to begin January 22, 2018.  In June 2015, Brewer crashed his semi-truck into 6 people killing them and injuring multiple others in Chattanooga, TN.  He picked up speeding, DUI, reckless aggravated assault, and vehicular homicide charges.  He is being represented by the public defender on his speeding/traffic and criminal charges, and a jury is being brought in from Nashville, TN for his trial.

During St. Patrick's week 2017 the Chattanooga Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol are cracking down on drivers.  In just one day, they wrote 100 speeding and traffic tickets.  Please be careful as you drive on the road.

Parents who are behind on child support may come into Juvenile Court on Main Street January 23-27, 2017 to address their situations and try to get back on track without fear of arrest.  Specifically, they’ll be able to get their warrant(s) dismissed by making a good faith payment, meet with potential employers, receive information about furthering their education, meet with local non-profits, all without fear of arrest on outstanding attachments.  If you have questions, please contact Juvenile Court, Child Support Division at 209-5970, Maximus at 508-6500, or this law firm at 485-8088.

In November 2016, Chattanooga suffered one of its greatest losses ever, as Johnthony Walker plummeted into a tree off of Talley Road at an allegedly high rate of speed killing six passengers on board a school bus and injuring several others.

Advice Law Firm and attorney Micah Guster would like to extend our condolences and prayers to the families of Woodmore Elementary School who have suffered such tragedy and loss.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.  

 

The above videos provide description of the legal and preliminary factual situation in Chattanooga as of the time of the shooting of the videos; and the video below encapsulates the preliminary hearing or probable cause portion of the Woodmore case with the bus driver, Johnthony Walker. 

 

After the preliminary hearing, his case was sent to the Grand Jury, where it will likely end up in Criminal Court. Concurrent with Mr. Walker's criminal case, several lawsuits have been filed in both Tennessee federal and state courts.       

Advice Law Firm would like thank the necessary and essential workers who make our lives go.  In this case, one of those necessary and essential workers was going too fast.  Yet, instead of getting a speeding ticket, another kind necessary and essential worker helped out.  Thank you Trooper Schwartz for your kindness, gratitude, and public service on the roads.  

Going back to 2015, Advice Law Firm has offered condolences from Hamilton County to now Meigs County for major traffic accidents, always asking the public to be careful.  We are saddened by the events that took place in Meigs County.
